A .NET Developer plays a crucial role in converting business needs into tailored systems, applications, or process designs for sophisticated web and mobile solutions. This individual is accountable for the design, development, deployment, maintenance, and occasionally support of multi-tiered web applications. The role demands the ability to produce clear and concise documentation while demonstrating strong presentation and communication skills. The candidate must excel in a collaborative team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Employ industry best practices to design, develop, and deploy robust and maintainable application components utilizing HTML, Advanced JavaScript, CSS, internal frameworks, and third-party tools. Collaboration with the technical lead is essential to ensure performance and security standards are met.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the software development lifecycle and Quality Assurance practices, including experience with source code control, debugging, and testing.
  • Stay informed about advancements in software development methodologies and technologies, particularly focusing on full stack web frameworks.
  • Communicate effectively and persuasively with management and colleagues.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a computer-related field or equivalent technical work experience is required.
  • Work Experience: Minimum of 3 years in developing distributed Internet/eCommerce applications that cater to high-traffic websites. Experience with both Waterfall and Agile development methodologies and programming complex database-driven websites is essential.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Significant focus on designing and implementing new features and resolving production issues while maintaining effective communication with the technical lead, scrum master, immediate team, and supervisor.
  • Write programming code, either from scratch or by modifying existing software to fulfill business requirements.
  • Test web and API components to identify and resolve technical issues.
  • Be knowledgeable about international web standards and protocols.
  • Ability to multitask effectively.
  • Set personal technical goals and collaborate with supervisors to achieve them.
  • Ensure adherence to SDM and SCRUM methodologies.
  • Foster an environment conducive to feedback, team communication, and innovation.
  • Initiate, manage, and ensure the completion of special projects.
  • Timely escalate issues and impediments to the appropriate hierarchy following established protocols.
  • General programming knowledge.

  • Strong understanding of the extensibility points of the framework: HTTP Handlers, HTTP Modules, Action Results, Model Binding, Action Filters, etc.
  • Strong understanding of OWASP Top 10 Project, including how ASP.NET mitigates risks and its limitations.
  • Excellent understanding of foundational web technologies: HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Experience translating wireframes into HTML/CSS.
  • Versatile in various JavaScript frameworks/libraries such as React, Angular, and jQuery.
  • Strong understanding of web optimization techniques to enhance page load times.
  • Experience working with AJAX/JSON.
  • Experience with technologies like SCSS and TypeScript.
  • Strong understanding of modern client-side build systems and NPM.
