Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team at Providence Alaska Medical Center. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of surgical procedures, working closely with our surgical team to provide exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Assist surgeons and other medical staff during surgical procedures, maintaining a sterile environment and handling instruments and equipment.
  • Prepare operating rooms, equipment, and supplies for procedures, ensuring that all necessary items are available and in good working order.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the surgical team.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless communication and coordination during procedures.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest surgical techniques and technologies.
Requirements
  • 2 years of experience as a Surgical Technologist.
  • Experience in ortho, neuro surgery, and robotics.
  • BLS certification required.
  • NCCT and MBTSA certifications preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
