Position Overview

The Department of the Navy is seeking a dedicated professional to contribute to the development and architecture of specialized systems addressing electromagnetic spectrum challenges.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the creation of system architectures for naval prototypes, enhancing theatre-level Command, Control, and Communications (C3) capabilities.
  • Analyze and decompose intricate requirements across diverse customer bases to formulate effective system concepts.
  • Conduct thorough research and devise plans to integrate cutting-edge technologies, addressing a complex array of capabilities and applications.
Employment Conditions

Applicants must be U.S. citizens and deemed suitable for federal employment. Participation in the direct deposit pay program is mandatory. New hires will undergo an E-Verify employment verification check.

Retired military members must adhere to specific provisions regarding civilian employment within 180 days of retirement.

Completion of ethics orientation within three months of appointment is required, along with submission of a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report.

Successful candidates will undergo a pre-employment drug test and must maintain a TS/SCI security clearance.

Qualifications

Candidates should possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or ND-04 in federal service or comparable experience in the private sector.

Specialized experience should include:

  • Developing architectures and specialized products for Command, Control, and Communications solutions.
  • Supporting electromagnetic security requirements.
  • Conducting research and formulating plans to integrate emerging technologies.
Educational Requirements

Applicants must have completed a professional engineering degree from an accredited institution or possess current registration as an Engineer Intern (EI), Engineer in Training (EIT), or licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE).

Alternatively, candidates may qualify through successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) examination or through relevant coursework in engineering sciences.
