  • Communicate with carriers to ensure special requirements are met and all documents are accurate.
  • Process various documents for accuracy, requiring operational knowledge of customers, carriers, and procedures.
  • Enter operational/customer data into software systems and identify potential operational or service concerns.
  • Communicate with internal and external customers regarding shipments, billing, status, services, and other needs.
  • Track orders and shipments, and assist with tracing as needed.
  • Assist with running and summarizing operational reports and details, presenting information to co-workers or supervisors as needed.
  • Interface with airlines, ocean shipping, truck, and related carriers to understand requirements.
  • Assist with preparing information required for quotes or addressing potential services, and provide quotes as needed.
  • Develop working relationships with internal and external customers, assist with account management, and maintain customer profiles, details, and service needs.
  • Create and process invoices, review for operational accuracy, and work with customers on questions and payment.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in import operations or a related field.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  • Basic Microsoft products, Excel, Word, and Outlook skills.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients, management, and co-workers.
  • Team player with a detail-oriented approach.
