Job Description

Ryder is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team in Baton Rouge, LA.

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced individual to perform routine maintenance and repairs on our heavy-duty vehicles.

Responsibilities
  • Perform vehicle maintenance and repair duties
  • Conduct standard vehicle inspections and repairs
  • Diagnose mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic tools
  • Replace defective components as needed
  • Perform facility maintenance duties
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Vocational or technical certification preferred
  • Basic tools required
  • Demonstrated aptitude and experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines
  • Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A preferred
Benefits
  • Hourly pay: $22.50 per hour
  • Certification bonus: up to $700
  • Quarterly bonus: up to $500
  • Sign-on bonus: $1250 at 30 days and $1250 at 90 days
  • Medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and paid time off benefits
