We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Multidisciplinary Support Specialist to join our team at Texas Care. As a key member of our support staff, you will provide critical administrative assistance to our Clinical Director and play a vital role in supporting the smooth operation of our behavioral health programs.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with contract and credentialing for all behavioral health staff and locations throughout Texas, ensuring timely updates to the Clinical Director.">
  • Process insurance claims daily, investigate rejected or denied claims, and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner.">
  • Conduct routine quality assurance phone calls with clients, document progress notes in individual charts, and submit contact reports to the Clinical Director.">
  • Support the Clinical Director in monitoring individual charts, adhering to approved chart audit protocols.">
  • File client documentation within one business day of receipt, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.">
  • Answer telephone calls, screen callers, and route them to appropriate personnel or locations.">
  • Prioritize incoming requests for behavioral health services using a brief assessment format over the phone or in person.">
  • Assist with insurance verification and billing processes, ensuring seamless communication with clients and providers.">
  • Support psychiatric providers by reviewing service requests, scheduling appointments, and providing general communication with patients regarding medication refills or inquiries.">
  • Provide exceptional customer service through polite and positive interactions, making clients feel welcome, important, and valued.">
  • Inform staff of visitor arrivals, check staff availability, and schedule appointments as needed.">
  • Distribute mail and faxes to relevant staff members, maintaining an organized workspace.">
  • Develop and implement outreach activities within the community to promote marketing and secure referral agencies.">
  • Participate in agency trainings to enhance skill development, procedural compliance, and maintain a recovery-focused approach.">
  • Attend regularly scheduled supervisory sessions, staying informed and engaged with management.">
  • Perform general office maintenance tasks, ensuring a safe, clean, and organized workspace.">

Requirements and Qualifications

  • A minimum BA/BS degree is preferred, with a major in a human service field such as psychology, counseling, sociology, or a related subject area.">
  • Spanish speaking is an asset.">
  • An interest in working with diverse populations and learning about culture and culturally appropriate interventions is essential.">
  • The ability to lift up to 25 pounds and work in a well-lit/ventilated environment is required.">
  • Familiarity with insurance billing and claims submissions is a plus.">
  • Previous experience with contracting and credentialing is highly desirable.">
  • CPR certification or the ability to take and pass a course is necessary.">
  • Must pass a criminal background check to ensure suitability for employment.">

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as opportunities for professional growth and development.
