Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized support and training to consumers in all program areas, ensuring their goals and objectives are met.
  • Collaborate with case managers and supervisors to develop and implement consumer plans, promoting independence and community integration.
  • Maintain accurate and complete documentation, including progress notes, activity records, and incident reports.
  • Ensure a safe and respectful environment for consumers, adhering to all safety regulations and protocols.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors or management.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent, with a minimum of one year of experience in the field of developmental disabilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with consumers, staff, and community partners.
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification, with a clear driving record and valid California driver's license.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds, push a wheelchair up to one mile, and stand, walk, and sit for extended periods.
