About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mammography Technologist to join our team at Optum in Brooklyn, NY. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for performing high-quality mammographic images and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform quality mammographic images and ensure proper file identification
  • Demonstrate competency in all mammographic procedures and equipment operation
  • Greet patients, obtain medical history, and enter information into our electronic medical records system
  • Obtain mammographic images according to established guidelines
  • Maintain accurate logs and process paperwork for biopsies
  • Utilize sterile techniques to prevent contamination and maintain a clean examination environment
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of patient information
  • Assist in the completion of accreditation processes and maintain CPR certification
  • Provide coverage as needed and assist with new hire training and mentoring
  • Provide a positive patient experience and communicate effectively with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals
Requirements
  • ARRT (M) certification and Diagnostic Mammography certification
  • Electronic Medical Records experience
  • Associate degree or Bachelor's degree in Radiography, Radiation Therapy, or Nuclear Medicine
  • 1+ years of experience as a general radiologic technologist
