Certified Nursing Assistants at Retirement Communities play a vital role in providing warm and engaging personal care services to our residents. We strive to make life better for the people within our community by connecting them with jobs that make a difference.
Job Summary:
The Certified Nursing Assistant will work under the supervision of the Health & Wellness Director. They will provide assistance, support, and companionship to our residents, ensuring their needs are met with dignity and respect.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist residents with activities of daily living, such as feeding, bathing, dressing, toileting, hygiene, and mobility, as directed by their individual service plans.
- Monitor changes in residents' functional status and personal care needs, documenting observations and advising supervisors and/or clinical staff as appropriate.
- Administer proper medication passing procedures to residents.
- Assist in the development and updating of Resident Care Plans.
- Encourage resident participation in scheduled programs and activities.
- Conduct one-on-one or small group activities as assigned by supervisor in conjunction with the Vibrant Living Director.
- Assist with laundry and light housekeeping tasks as needed.
- Assist with serving meals and bussing tables as needed.
- Chaperone activities outside the community as needed.
- Monitor the community and take appropriate action to keep the environment safe, clean, and attractive for residents, guests, and co-workers.
- Participate in and attend all in-service training and education programs as scheduled.
- Ensure compliance with Federal, State, and local regulations and Retirement Communities' mission policies, procedures, and standards.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 1-2 years of Resident care experience preferred.
Certifications, Licenses, and Special Requirements:
- Certified Nursing Assistant Certification required.
- Maintain state licensing requirements, where applicable.
