Pediatric Hospitalist Physician

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Pediatric Hospitalist to join our team at Connecticut Children's. As a Pediatric Hospitalist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to hospitalized children, working collaboratively with primary care providers, and contributing to the development of our pediatric hospital medicine program.
About the Role:- Assess, evaluate, diagnose, and treat well newborns and pediatric observation patients and inpatients on the pediatric inpatient unit.
- Provide consultative services in the Emergency Department, working collaboratively with primary care providers to ensure safe patient handoffs.
- Perform and/or order clinically appropriate procedures for each patient, including medical histories, diagnostic lab tests, and x-ray results.
- Prescribe clinically appropriate medication and treatment for each patient, referring them to other physicians and healthcare providers as necessary.
- Keep and maintain accurate, complete, and timely medical records relating to all professional services provided.

Requirements:- Board eligible or certified in Pediatrics and/or Pediatric Hospital Medicine.
- Licensed and registered, and in good standing under the laws of the State of Connecticut and New York.
- Active and Unrestricted D.E.A. Certificate.
- PALS, NRP certifications required. ACLS, BLS preferred.
We offer a competitive compensation package, including a salary range of $185,900.00 to $245,300.00 annually, as well as a generous benefits package, including health, life, vision, dental, and disability insurance, a 403(b) with an annual matching program, continuing medical education allowance, and professional liability insurance.
