Job Title: Anesthesia Pre-op RN

North American Partners in Anesthesia is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team as an Anesthesia Pre-op RN. This is a per diem opportunity, working 2 days a week, 8 hour shifts (6AM-2PM).

Responsibilities:
  • Assess patient health problems and needs, developing and implementing nursing care plans.
  • Administer nursing care to ill, injured, convalescent, or disabled patients.
  • Review testing results and report findings to anesthesia physicians, documenting all results in patient medical records.
  • Perform testing and report results to physicians, documenting findings in patient medical records.
  • Assist physicians with patient visits and exams, procedures, and specimen labeling and sending.
  • Schedule patient appointments as directed by physicians.
  • Provide telephone triage and document all patient, physician, and other contacts.
  • Administer medications as necessary, using universal precautions and documenting in patient medical records.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and communicate effectively with patients and their families.
  • Treat patients and their families with dignity and respect, acting in a non-directive and non-judgmental manner.
  • Follow universal precautions and OSHA standards.
Qualifications:
  • Current/valid license as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice.
  • Maintain CPR certification.
  • Available to work day shift Monday - Friday.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment.
