Job Summary:
Marathon Staffing is seeking a skilled Welder/Fabricator to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for performing regular and preventive maintenance on all machinery, equipment, tools, and building. You will also assist in the repair of woodworking machinery, in feed/out feed systems, hand tools in accordance with diagrams, operating manuals, and manufacturing specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
• Performs regular and preventive maintenance on all machinery, equipment, tools, and building.
• Assists in the repair of woodworking machinery, in feed/out feed systems, hand tools in accordance with diagrams, operating manuals, and manufacturing specifications.
• Welding and fabricating when necessary as well as assisting other with the process.
• Performs preventative maintenance, as scheduled.
• Maintains records of repair and maintenance activities.
• Performs duties consistent with established safety rules and procedures.
• Keeps work area clean and organized.
• Participates in safety, CI, and other initiatives.
• If assigned to the Treating Department, performs duties consistent with hazardous waste and hazardous material handling procedures and practices.
• Prepares various reports as required and any other duties that are requested on a day-to-day basis.
Requirements:
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous experience in welding and fabrication preferred.
