We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Ultrasound Technologist to join our team as a travel employee in Houston, Texas. As a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare facility.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will have 1 year of experience in ultrasound technology and possess ARDMS National Certification, BLS, and state-specific licensing when required. They will also be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean or stoop without difficulty.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Educate patients and/or patient's family regarding procedures performed
  • Use sonographic equipment to identify and observe the area(s) of concern
  • Prepare the exam room for examinations and assist Radiologists with ultrasound procedures and ultrasound-guided biopsies
  • Report any abnormalities that require immediate attention to the appropriate medical staff
  • Maintain sonography equipment and report machinery failure
  • Conduct scan tests and write reports based on the results
  • Maintain accurate patient records
  • Understand and use the McKesson PACS system

Benefits and Salary:

This position offers a competitive salary of $95,000 per year, paid sick leave, travel reimbursement, liability insurance, vision, dental, and health insurance from day one, and housing assistance. We also offer a guaranteed pay package based on 8 hour shifts and 40 hours per week, with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
