As a key member of the LKQ team, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cross Dock Driver to join our operations. This role is responsible for transporting products between locations, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods to our customers.
Key Responsibilities:- Drive a commercial vehicle to transfer products between locations, adhering to safety standards and regulations.
- Load and unload trucks, verifying the condition of the vehicle, manifest, and other paperwork associated with the delivery.
- Physically unload the truck, verify parts unloaded, and obtain signatures from receiving locations confirming the accuracy of parts received.
- Maintain accurate records of hours, delivery/shipment logs, and credit memos.
- Comply with established company policies and procedures, ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.
- One year of commercial driving and warehouse experience, supplemented by on-the-job training.
- Accredited commercial driving school certificate or equivalent experience.
- Forklift certification beneficial.
- Must be fully DOT qualified, possess a valid driver's license with the proper endorsement, and have an acceptable driving record.
- Must meet Department of Transportation's testing and physical requirements.
- High School graduate or G.E.D. equivalent.
- Some college coursework desired.
This role requires occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts, office environments, and varying temperatures. The employee must be able to tolerate high and low temperature levels and occasional inclement driving conditions.
