About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at BioSpace, Inc. in Indianapolis, Indiana. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for providing maintenance expertise to service, repair, and maintain process and utility equipment in our pharmaceutical manufacturing facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Improve equipment uptime, line efficiency, and overall equipment effectiveness in a production environment through condition monitoring, troubleshooting, and engineering changes.
  • Troubleshoot the root causes of machine problems and perform repairs and overhauls, including disassembly, setting tolerances, aligning, and resetting timing.
  • Setup equipment to design specifications and operate precision alignment equipment.
  • Diagnose and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime and accurately document actions taken in the CMMS program.
  • Assist in areas outside of primary responsibility and learn other skills as required.
  • Execute procedures for maintenance, calibration, and repair of all assets, including non-GMP and GMP equipment, lab equipment, and utilities.
  • Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and OEMs for the execution of work and requisition of parts.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to maintain current knowledge of cGMP regulations, industry best practices, and emerging technologies.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience working as a maintenance technician in an FDA-regulated operation, such as the drug product or medical device manufacturing industries.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Understanding of OSHA safety practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to excel in a collaborative team environment.
  • Ability to plan, develop, and execute multiple projects under tight timelines.
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, set priorities, and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Great attention to detail.
Work Environment

This position's work environment is in the manufacturing facility. The physical demands of this job are consistent with a manufacturing environment and will require interaction with production equipment. Travel is less than 5% of the time.
