POSITION SUMMARY

The Culinary Preparation Specialist plays a vital role in food preparation, ensuring that all dishes are crafted according to the chef's precise standards while maintaining an organized and efficient kitchen environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare ingredients for service, including portioning, chopping, and proper storage.
  • Maintain a detailed prep list, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of recipes, ingredients, allergens, and presentation standards.
  • Uphold cleanliness and organization within the kitchen, adhering to all safety, health, and sanitation regulations.
  • Set up and stock workstations, ensuring kitchen supplies are replenished as necessary.
  • Guarantee that food quality, freshness, and presentation align with The Fulton’s high standards.
  • Label, date, and rotate all products and prepared items following FIFO (first in, first out) practices.
  • Act ethically to safeguard the company’s assets and reputation.
  • Maintain a flexible schedule to meet the demands of the business.
  • Perform additional duties as required or requested.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  • Consistently arrive on time for scheduled shifts, dressed in appropriate uniform.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • At least 1 year of experience in a high-volume, fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Culinary degree or certification is highly preferred.
  • Proficient knife skills and expertise in various cooking techniques.
  • Ability to follow and execute recipes with precision.
  • Strong multitasking abilities in a dynamic setting.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Commitment to maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Capacity to adapt to an evolving work environment.
  • Strong work ethic with a focus on customer satisfaction.
