Hospice and Palliative Medicine Physician Assistant

StaffMD is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Physician Assistant to join our team in Ohio. As a Hospice/Palliative Medicine Physician Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support to individuals with serious illnesses.
About the Role:- Provide medical care and support to patients with serious illnesses, including those with cancer, heart disease, and other life-limiting conditions.
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Conduct thorough assessments, diagnose conditions, and develop treatment plans in consultation with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and perform procedures as needed.
- Provide emotional support and counseling to patients and their families, addressing their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs.
- Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies or a related field.
- Current certification as a Physician Assistant (PA-C) or eligible for certification.
- Experience working in hospice and palliative care, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
