Position Overview:
This role serves as a specialized ultrasound technologist, playing a crucial part in diagnosing and treating cardiac conditions. You will be instrumental in identifying heart-related issues and assisting physicians in formulating diagnosis and treatment strategies.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Execute procedures by confirming and following the orders from referring providers. Utilize independent judgment and apply learned methodologies in accordance with established policies and procedures.
2. Supervise echocardiographic services, ensuring high-quality performance and adherence to scanning protocols and quality measures as per ASE or IAC guidelines.
3. Educate patients and their families about the procedures and treatments to be performed, demonstrating professionalism and fostering teamwork to achieve quality patient outcomes.
4. Capture high-quality images for timely interpretation, ensuring accurate documentation and providing preliminary clinical findings to supervising physicians and cardiologists.
5. Maintain equipment performance through quality control measurements and troubleshooting, ensuring a safe environment for patients and staff.
6. Uphold ethical, legal, and professional responsibilities, maintaining confidentiality of all work-related information.
7. Ensure efficient workflow in the department by monitoring inventory and performing necessary high-level disinfecting procedures.
8. Act as a clinical and technical expert in Cardiac Sonographic Imaging, providing training and education to staff and students in echocardiographic techniques.

Minimum Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited Allied Health Cardiovascular program is required. National certification from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) as a Cardiac Sonographer is necessary. BLS certification is also required. Clinical knowledge typically gained through one to two years of experience is essential. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are a must.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in Adult Echo is preferred. Additional related education and experience are advantageous.
