Position Overview

Clover Healthcare is seeking a dedicated individual with a passion for enhancing the lives of those affected by memory impairments. The Director of Memory Care will play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance with all community policies and state regulations pertinent to Memory Care. This leader will be responsible for implementing and supervising our unique Memory Care initiatives, focusing on key areas such as Wellness, Enrichment, Creativity, Connection, Challenge, and Teamwork.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct interviews, orientations, and ongoing training for Memory Care team members, adhering to training policies and regulatory standards.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to departmental staff in alignment with human resources policies.
  • Collaborate with the Health and Wellness Director to manage Memory Care employees effectively.
  • Champion the company's philosophy in all interactions with residents, families, and staff, while overseeing daily Memory Care operations.
  • Organize and manage the monthly programming calendar, ensuring all necessary supplies are available.
  • Plan, coordinate, and assess resident programs within Memory Care.
  • Lead innovative, high-quality programs in Memory Care, facilitating a minimum of 3-5 self-led activities daily.
  • Implement and monitor programs to ensure excellence in service delivery while maintaining high satisfaction levels among residents, families, and staff.
  • Adhere to departmental budget guidelines.
  • Stay informed on Alzheimer's and dementia-related topics, participating in training as assigned, and providing education and support to community staff.
Qualifications
  • Preferred background in Recreation Therapy, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
  • A college degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working with individuals with dementia and leading a team.
  • Demonstrated professionalism and organizational skills.
  • Excellent time management abilities.
  • Must possess adaptability, compassion, balance, flexibility, proactivity, responsibility, and attention to detail.
