Job Summary

AdaptHealth LLC is seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team as a Ventilation Specialist. As a key member of our clinical team, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to individuals requiring ventilatory assistance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide respiratory care to patients in alternate settings, ensuring optimal outcomes and adherence to AdaptHealth's policies and procedures.
  • Utilize acquired knowledge to increase competencies and stay up-to-date with the latest respiratory care practices.
  • Document all patient interactions, interventions, and communication in a timely and accurate manner, adhering to company standards.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals, referral sources, and other patient agencies to ensure prompt attention to patient care issues.
  • Assist with authorization for ventilator referrals and participate in discharge planning for highly technical cases.
  • Perform clinical assessments, troubleshoot equipment, and maintain accurate records of patient care activities.
  • Develop and maintain working knowledge of current HME products and services offered by AdaptHealth.
  • Ensure compliance with AdaptHealth's Compliance Program and maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
Requirements
  • Associates degree from an AMA-approved respiratory program.
  • Valid and unrestricted RT clinical license in all states serviced by AdaptHealth.
  • One (1) year of clinical experience as a Health Care RT, HME RT, or clinical nursing with Vent experience.
  • Valid and unrestricted driver's license.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds, stand, bend, and sit for extended periods.
  • Must be able to perform one-man CPR.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent travel and exposure to unsanitary conditions.
  • Must be able to drive and travel as needed.
