Key Responsibilities

  • Implement effective defense strategies to achieve the best possible outcomes for clients.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to inform case strategies.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate various legal documents, including pleadings, discovery requests, responses, motions, and settlement agreements.
  • Represent clients in court hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials, presenting clear and compelling arguments.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients, providing updates on case progress and addressing their queries and concerns.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in insurance law and related areas, ensuring the firm's services remain at the forefront of the industry.

Requirements

  • A Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the state bar (TX).
  • A minimum of 1+ years of experience in insurance defense, with a focus on areas such as transportation, premises liability, personal injury, product liability, employment disputes, business disputes, construction liability, and public entity defense.
  • Excellent negotiation skills, with a proven track record of successful dispute resolution.
  • Exceptional legal research and writing skills.
  • The ability to manage a diverse caseload, prioritizing tasks to meet strict deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and opposing counsel.
  • A commitment to maintaining the highest standards of ethics and professionalism in the practice of law.
