Role ResponsibilitiesThe selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring the optimal functioning of all Feed Mill machinery. Key responsibilities include:
- Executing a comprehensive maintenance program on a scheduled basis.
- Addressing maintenance requests from various departments within the Feed Mill.
- Communicating maintenance concerns effectively to the Plant Manager.
- Ensuring all safety protocols are adhered to and equipment is maintained accordingly.
- Diagnosing mechanical issues and determining necessary repairs.
- Conducting required inspections and maintaining accurate records of work performed.
- Researching repair options and proposing necessary changes or purchases.
- Overseeing the work order process for efficiency and accuracy.
- Maintaining all shop tools and equipment in good condition.
- Contributing to a clean and safe work environment.
- Coordinating with the Plant Manager for scheduled maintenance activities.
- Staying updated on technical and safety advancements through ongoing education.
- Assisting with seasonal operations, including corn management and snow removal.
- Performing additional duties as assigned.
To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a maintenance-related position.
- Proficiency in electrical systems, welding, plumbing, and general maintenance tasks.
- A basic understanding of computer systems.
- The ability to follow instructions in English.
- Experience operating large machinery.
- The capability to lift at least 50 pounds.
