Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced CDL A Delivery Driver to join our team at US Foods, Inc. This role offers a competitive hourly pay rate and opportunities for career growth.

About the Role:

This position involves safely transporting food products to customers, ensuring timely deliveries, and providing excellent customer service. As a CDL A Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for driving a tractor-trailer combination and operating equipment such as pallet jacks and two-wheelers to unload products from the trailer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely drive trucks to customers and meet scheduled delivery times
  • Carefully unload products from the trailer using equipment such as pallet jacks or two-wheelers
  • Verify accuracy of delivery with customers and obtain proper signatures
  • Handle collections and payments from customers when applicable
  • Perform all pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspection

Requirements:

  • Must have a valid CDL Class A license issued by the state of legal residence
  • Minimum of six months commercial driving experience (any industry) or three months in the food and/or beverage delivery industry required
  • Ability to read and communicate in the English language
  • Must be able to lift/carry/push/pull 20 to 80+ lbs. of product repetitively during each shift
