About This Opportunity

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled CNA/HHA Healthcare Professional to join our dedicated team at Maplewood Manor. In this role, you will play a vital part in delivering exceptional care to our residents, working closely with our licensed nurse to ensure the highest level of health, safety, and quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with daily care activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, transferring, walking, toileting, bed mobility, behavior, and treatment, as outlined in resident care plans.
  • Support with ambulation, transfers, and exercises, ensuring our residents receive the physical support they need to maintain their mobility and independence.
  • Provide personal care, including bowel and bladder control, bladder training, and incontinent products, as per individual resident needs.
  • Report changes in resident condition and needs to the nurse in charge, ensuring timely interventions and adjustments to care plans.
  • Document care given and pertinent observations, maintaining accurate and detailed records of each resident's care journey.
  • Administer medications and/or treatments as delegated by the RN, adhering to facility policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Meet state requirements for a certified home health aide, maintaining certification throughout your employment.
  • Have a high school diploma or equivalent, demonstrating a level of knowledge typically acquired through formal education.
  • Experience in long-term care settings is preferred, but not required; on-site orientation and training will be provided to ensure you meet desired entry-level competencies.
  • Be able to work effectively with general supervision, managing your workload and prioritizing tasks in a busy environment.
  • Communicate effectively with residents and families, promoting customer service and respect, while maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA and Resident Rights.
