Medical Assistant/LPN/EMT Professional

We are seeking a skilled Medical Assistant/LPN/EMT to join our team at HealthPartners. As a key member of our clinical staff, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and support in our ambulatory care setting.
Key Responsibilities
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive patient information and adhere to all applicable laws and regulations.
• Conduct pre-visit planning, visit process, and other workflows to ensure seamless patient care.
• Perform accurate and timely charting to support patient care and service.
• Obtain health history information, vital signs, and recognize variances.
• Perform routine office procedures and testing in the ambulatory care setting.
• Accurately document observations, actions, and patient outcomes in our electronic medical record (EMR).
• Identify patient education needs, provide instruction, and pend orders appropriately.
• Stock and clean examination rooms between patients and at the end of each session.
• Sterilize and clean equipment and instruments.
• Monitor and request supplies to ensure proper inventory and avoid interruptions in service.
• Comply with applicable legislation, such as OSHA and infection control standards.
• Assist in the orientation and training of new personnel as assigned.
• Participate in quality improvement activities and actively engage in self-development and educational activities.
• Comply with our Code of Conduct and all policies, procedures, and standing orders.
Customer Service and Teamwork
• Greet patients with a warm welcome and complete interactions with a warm closure.
• Collaborate in patient care hand-offs to ensure patient comfort, safety, and continuity of care.
• Assure patients' rights to privacy, safety, and confidentiality.
• Respect, embrace, and value diversity.
• Project a professional image through appearance, positive attitude, and constructive interactions.
• Honor patient choices and family rights.
Organizational Responsibility
• Identify and report environmental, equipment, or patient care risks to your supervisor.
• Correct and complete incident reports as indicated.
Requirements
• LPN (Current MN License), CMA (Current AAMA Certificate), RMA (Current AMT Certificate), or Medical Assistant Non-Certified (completion of an accredited medical assistant program).
• CPR Certification required and maintained.
• Ability to maintain records, write reports, and respond to correspondence.
• Skill in developing and maintaining department quality assurance.
• Ability to maintain effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, and the public.
• Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
• Ability to interpret, adapt, and apply guidelines and procedures.
• Ability to communicate clearly and work quickly under pressure.
• Works productively as a team player.
