Job Overview

Salary: $35.00 per hour

Position Summary: AnchorCM is seeking skilled Ironworkers to enhance our workforce. The ideal candidate should possess a Certificate of Qualification in their specific trade and have a minimum of 3 years of experience in large-scale industrial projects. Preference will be given to those with experience in sawmills or wood processing facilities. Candidates from other trades with significant welding and fabrication experience are also encouraged to apply.

Work Schedule:

  • Rotation work
  • Two weeks on, two weeks off
  • Opportunities for interstate travel
  • Mandatory overtime

Key Responsibilities:

  • Employ advanced metal forming and welding techniques to meet quality standards with minimal oversight.
  • Minimum qualifications include SMAW, GMAW, FCAW - 6G.
  • Interpret technical drawings and blueprints to ensure accurate assembly.
  • Deliver precise and high-quality work.
  • Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to all Safe Work Practices and Procedures.
  • Exemplify and uphold company policies, rules, and performance expectations.
  • Act as a representative of the brand and contribute positively to the corporate culture.
  • Establish reference points and patterns on heavy metal according to specifications.
  • Safely rig, hoist, and maneuver large and complex loads.
  • Assemble and fit metal sections and plates to create complete units or subunits.
  • Install fabricated components into final products.
  • Work safely in heights, confined spaces, and challenging conditions.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Complete all required site-specific safety and quality training.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience as a journeyperson in your trade, demonstrating increasing responsibility and authority.
  • Ability to read blueprints, organize workflow, set up equipment, and arrange materials to enhance productivity.
  • Proven ability to work safely in high-risk environments.
  • Strong work ethic and effective time management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Capacity to positively contribute to a skilled trades team.
  • Understanding of due diligence and ability to produce detailed and accurate reports as necessary.
  • Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Additional training that is considered an asset includes:
  • Occupational First Aid
  • Certification in Structural Steel and/or Aluminum welding processes
  • Certification in Pipe and Pressure Welding
  • OSHA training
  • Fall Protection Training
  • Equipment Operation (Forklift, Telehandler, etc.)
