Position Overview

Collaboration and Communication

Essential Duties
  • Conduct thorough evaluations and develop treatment programs that align with patient-specific objectives.
  • Monitor patient responses to therapy and adjust treatment plans as necessary to enhance outcomes and ensure safety.
  • Maintain accurate patient records in accordance with established documentation standards and protocols.
  • Ensure that treatment methodologies contribute to overall quality and safety benchmarks within the healthcare facility.
  • Adapt communication and treatment approaches to meet the unique needs of diverse patient populations.
  • Perform additional related responsibilities as required.
Qualifications

Education: A Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology is mandatory.

Experience: No prior experience is required.

Licensure: A current Speech Pathologist license in the state of practice or eligibility for licensure through examination or reciprocity is essential.

Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association is required. Certification of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) must be obtained within two years of employment.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Proficiency in computer systems, software, and web applications is necessary. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for effectively conveying information to various stakeholders throughout the patient care continuum. Excellent judgment, decision-making capabilities, and interpersonal skills are critical for interacting with a diverse patient demographic.

Physical and Environmental Demands

This position may involve significant physical activity, including lifting heavy objects and exposure to bodily fluids. The role is performed in a patient care environment, necessitating direct interaction with patients and potential exposure to communicable diseases.
