Job Summary:

Summit Medical Staffing Allied is seeking a skilled Pathology Assistant to join our team for a travel assignment in a dynamic healthcare setting. As a Pathology Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the laboratory team in the examination and preparation of tissue samples for diagnosis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist pathologists in the examination of tissue samples
  • Prepare tissue samples for diagnosis, including sectioning and staining
  • Perform quality control checks on laboratory equipment and supplies
  • Maintain accurate records of laboratory procedures and results
  • Collaborate with laboratory staff to ensure efficient and accurate testing

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Certification as a Pathology Assistant or equivalent experience
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced laboratory environment
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays
