Chandler Regional Medical Center is seeking a skilled Traveling Registered Nurse to join our MedSurg A3 specialty unit. As a Travel Nurse RN, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care to patients with a variety of medical and surgical conditions, including orthopedic and oncology patients.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians and other healthcare professionals.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the healthcare team.
- Participate in unit-specific orientation and training to ensure a smooth transition to the MedSurg A3 unit.
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in a MedSurg or similar setting.
- Recent experience within the past 6 months.
- Ability to pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to start (with 2 max attempts) within 48 hours of offer.
- Ability to pass a Sim Lab on day one of orientation (study guides provided with first day instructions).
- Ability to read strips.
- 12-hour shifts, 7am-7pm.
- Weekend requirement: 4 weekend shifts per 4-week period (days - Sat, Sun, nights - Fri, Sat).
- One major and minor holiday.
- MedSurg A3 unit with 32 beds.
- Ortho, Surgical, and Oncology patients.
- Charge Nurse: Yes, does not take patients. Also has Unit Supervisor.
- Nurse Aides: PCTs on days. 1 PCT or Task RN at night.
- Scrub Color: Navy.
- Tele: GE Monitors. Central monitoring station tech to read.
- Vents: NA.
- Hospitalist or Intensivist in house: Must call Physician.
- IV Team: No. House SWAT Nurse available for hard IV sticks.
- RT 24/7: Yes.
- Pharmacy 24/7: Yes, ICU Pharmacist covers on days.
- Floating: Float to MedSurg Tele B2C and B2D.
