- Provide customers with information regarding various cannabis products, including their types, methods of use, and effectiveness (medical advice is not provided).
- Commit to ongoing education and training in cannabis knowledge.
- Support management and fellow Cannabis Retail Specialists as required.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized work area.
- Verify the accuracy of online orders prior to customer pick-up.
- Understand and adhere to compliance regulations as mandated by local and state laws.
- Stock and replenish displays of both regulated and unregulated inventory.
- Process transactions at the point of sale and ensure accurate updates to the state-monitored inventory system.
- Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 1-2 years of experience in retail or hospitality.
- Must be at least 21 years old and comply with all relevant regulations.
- Willingness to undergo a criminal background check and obtain necessary state credentials.
- Eagerness to learn about cannabinoids, terpenes, and methods of product application.
- Proficiency in using office equipment and software, including Word and Excel.
- Familiarity with federal, state, and local laws governing the cannabis industry and safety protocols.
The role requires the ability to remain stationary, communicate effectively, and handle objects or tools. Employees may need to lift packages weighing up to 20 pounds and stand for extended periods. Specific hearing and vision capabilities are necessary for effective job performance.
