Role Responsibilities
The Nurse Assistant will deliver patient care in accordance with established care plans, unit protocols, and hospital policies under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Responsibilities include:
- Safe transportation of patients using wheelchairs or stretchers.
- Providing observation services for patients requiring constant monitoring, ensuring their safety.
- Performing general clerical and receptionist duties to support the nursing unit's operations.
- Documenting care provided in the electronic medical record system.
Qualifications
To be considered for this position, candidates should possess:
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a hospital or nursing home setting is preferred.
- Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification is preferred.
Work Schedule
This is a part-time position with night shifts. The expected working hours are from 6:30 p.m. to 7 a.m., with variable weekend requirements.
