Pipe Layer Specialist

The Pipe Layer position at C.A. Murren and Sons involves preparing and installing pipes for various infrastructure projects, including storm drains, sanitary sewers, waterlines, and other pipelines.

• Adept in operating equipment such as lasers, transits, grade rods, and line levels to ensure precise measurements and pipeline installation.
• Deep understanding of soil types, shoring techniques, and OSHA guidelines for trenching and sloping.
• Proficient in reading survey stakes, cuts, fills, and elevations to align pipe routes with project specifications.

1. Lay out pipe routes using blueprints and coordinate with Foremen to ensure efficient project progress.
2. Set up and operate pipe lasers to establish lines and slopes, ensuring accurate pipe placement.
3. Enter proposed slopes into the laser system and read grade rods to maintain precision.
4. Demonstrate expertise in heavy civil construction methods, including laying pipe on shallow grades without rework and handling oversized structures.
5. Ability to adapt to changing soil conditions and optimize workflow to meet project deadlines.
6. Maintain a safe working environment, adhering to OSHA regulations and best practices.

We offer a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on experience, along with an excellent benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and 401K matching.
