Job Summary

We are seeking a Retail Associate - Chocolate Expert to join our team. As a key ambassador of our brand, you will be responsible for providing exceptional guest service, managing cash handling and credit card processing procedures, and maintaining a clean and organized sales floor and stockroom.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional guest service and create a welcoming environment for customers
  • Manage cash handling and credit card processing procedures, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
  • Assemble proprietary retail items according to recipe guidelines
  • Maintain adequate supply of retail products on the sales floor and in the stockroom
  • Ensure all products are properly priced and signed according to company guidelines
  • Maintain sales floor and products to company standards of cleanliness, arrangement, and display
  • Maintain detailed knowledge of all products, pricing, and company history
  • Utilize knowledge of products and pricing to satisfy guest inquiries and create up-sell opportunities
  • Gift-wrap items for sale according to company guidelines and standards
  • Follow food safety guidelines and maintain a clean and sanitary environment
  • Keep the stockroom and sales floor clean and organized
  • Clean windows and mirrors as needed
  • Maintain guest and employee washing facilities in good working order
  • Properly set up, maintain, and break down the fountain area
  • Replenish toppings and fountain items throughout the day
  • Maintain the proper level of ice cream flavors
  • Work as a topper or scooper as needed
  • Perform semi-table service as part of overall guest satisfaction
  • Maintain candy making equipment and supplies in good working order
Requirements

We are looking for a high-energy, reliable, and detail-oriented individual with a strong work ethic. Previous retail experience is desirable, but not required. Must be able to work all shifts, including nights and weekends.

Ghirardelli Chocolate offers a competitive starting pay rate of $19.00/hour, plus tips. We also offer holiday pay, free sundae or shake on every shift, employee discount, and quarterly bonus opportunities.
