I&E Engineer

Job Summary

Formosa Plastics is seeking an experienced I&E Engineer to optimize the utilization of physical assets and technology resources within the hiring unit. The successful candidate will ensure plant equipment reliability, add value by integrating plant assets, personnel, and technology, and work with other maintenance and operations departments to sustain a safe and healthful working environment that meets environmental, health, and safety regulatory and company requirements.

Main Responsibilities

Provide maintenance support to the unit to achieve smooth operation, manufacture high-quality products, and avoid unscheduled process interruptions.
Communicate and work with operations to establish equipment criticality and provide standby equipment for critical equipment.
Establish and maintain historical files to correct diagnoses of equipment failures and performance of equipment maintenance.
Provide support to operations to ensure compliance with state and federal environmental regulations, including preventative maintenance, backup programs, and supporting technicians with calibrations and scheduling training.
Lead and facilitate review of abnormalities to improve overall performance in the unit and work with other departments to enhance product quality and plant reliability.

Requirements

0-3 years of relative maintenance experience or other petrochemical plant experience.
B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science Engineering preferred.
