Position Overview

As a vital member of the team at Albrecht Women's Care for Reproductive Health, the Ultrasound Technician plays a crucial role in providing exceptional care to patients undergoing fertility treatments. This position requires advanced expertise in ultrasound technology and a compassionate approach to patient care.

Key Responsibilities

The Ultrasound Technician will be responsible for:

  • Assisting medical professionals with uterine assessments and embryo transfer procedures.
  • Conducting follicular, gynecological, and early obstetrical ultrasound examinations.
  • Performing diagnostic imaging and preparing patients by clearly explaining procedures.
  • Setting up and calibrating ultrasound equipment, ensuring optimal performance.
  • Implementing safety protocols and conducting quality control checks on imaging procedures.
  • Executing both routine and advanced imaging studies while assisting in various diagnostic tasks.
  • Identifying significant anatomical structures, potential artifacts, and understanding equipment limitations.
  • Maintaining equipment functionality and promptly reporting any issues to the appropriate personnel.
  • Ensuring timely submission of high-quality images and documentation to the electronic medical record system.
  • Contributing to a clean and organized work environment, including procedure rooms and storage areas.
  • Performing additional related duties as required.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A degree from an accredited medical radiography program.
  • A minimum of two years of experience as an OB/GYN Sonographer is preferred.
  • Certification in diagnostic ultrasound in compliance with state regulations.
  • A current ARDMS license.
  • Registration in the OB/GYN specialty.
  • Current BLS certification upon hire.
  • The ability to work independently and demonstrate reliability and responsibility.
