Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Grocery Clerk to join our team at Fresh Thyme Market. As a Grocery Clerk, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized store environment, ensuring that all grocery shelves are stocked and faced, and providing exceptional customer service to our valued customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Stock and face all grocery shelves, ensuring that products are properly rotated and expired items are discarded
  • Assist customers with purchases, answer questions, and provide product recommendations
  • Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including sweeping and mopping floors, and cleaning shelves and displays
  • Operate a cash register and process transactions accurately and efficiently
  • Participate in pre-inventory preparation, including backstocking and ensuring tags match products
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalency degree
  • 1-2 years of experience in a grocery retail environment, preferably in a natural foods industry
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time
