Job Title: Center Store Category Specialist

At Piggly Wiggly Midwest LLC, we are seeking a highly skilled Center Store Category Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for driving the growth of our Center Store Categories, including Dry Grocery, Frozen, Dairy, and GM/HBC.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to increase market share and non-perishable revenue and profitability.
  • Engage with decision makers in Independent Retailers to assist with sales and merchandising of Corporate Brands, new item introductions, and major product concentration increases in high-priority categories.
  • Provide regular category training to store contacts on new items, merchandising, and departmental best practices.
  • Assist Grocery department managers, owners, and/or supervisors with product selection, training on new products, and proper merchandising.
  • Sell special buy programs and associated merchandising programs to stores.
Requirements:
  • Expertise in Private Label products.
  • A strong understanding of supply chain processes.
  • Preferred experience in product procurement and vendor management.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational abilities and a collaborative mindset.
  • Solid financial acumen and analytical skills related to wholesale and retail operations.
  • 2-5 years of relevant experience, with a Bachelor's degree, or the equivalent of 5-7 years in Wholesale or Perishable Retailing.
