Job Summary

As a Certified Pharmacy Technician II at Christus Health, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional pharmacy services to our patients. Under the direction of Clinical Pharmacists, you will work with compassion, excellence, and efficiency to ensure the highest quality care.

Responsibilities
  • Assist Pharmacists with Medication Histories and train Tech I associates
  • Prepare drug orders per physician request and verify computerized patient medication records accurately
  • Compound pharmaceuticals, including non-sterile and sterile products, chemotherapy, and parenteral nutrition products
  • Issue controlled substances to patient care areas and maintain records as required by law and institutional policies
  • Provide services efficiently and in a timely fashion, verifying daily activities and maintaining competency
  • Maintain current technician license, IV certification, and competencies, and complete all competency/skills assessment requirements
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • 3-5 years of pharmacy technician experience preferred
  • Registered Pharmacy Technician in the state of practice required
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician preferred
  • ACPE accredited IV certification program, including hazardous (minimum 40 hours)
