About the Role

Graham Packaging is seeking a skilled Maintenance Electrician to join our team in Modesto, CA. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our production equipment and facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical systems to minimize downtime and optimize production.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including inspections, repairs, and replacements of electrical and mechanical components.
  • Read and interpret electrical diagrams, blueprints, and schematics to determine the layout of industrial electrical equipment installations.
  • Install, examine, replace, or repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, fibre-optic and coaxial cable assemblies, lighting fixtures, and other electrical components.
  • Test electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage, and resistance.
  • Maintain, repair, install, and test switchgear, transformers, switchboard meters, regulators, and reactors.
  • Maintain, repair, test, and install electrical motors, generators, alternators, industrial storage batteries, and hydraulic and pneumatic electrical control systems.
  • Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair industrial, electrical, and electronic control systems and other related devices.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance programs and keep accurate maintenance records.
  • May install, maintain, and calibrate industrial instrumentation and related devices as required.
  • Assist and train production employees in proper operation and maintenance of machinery.
Requirements
  • Two-year Associate Degree in electrical-related field (plus a plus).
  • A minimum of five years of industrial maintenance electrician experience.
  • Ability to maintain regular, predictable, and punctual attendance.
  • Computer usage and typing skills are essential.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, including the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.
  • Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
