The facilities manager will oversee a multi-trades workforce engaged in operations, maintenance, security, and housekeeping duties. You will directly participate in overall facility management and be responsible for responding to emergency calls associated with malfunctioning equipment or building systems.

In this role, you will also work closely with executive management on new construction projects and plan, coordinate, and monitor facility improvement and maintenance projects. You will develop scope of work, confer with departments and consultants, prepare construction plans and documents, budget reports, and authorization-related recommendations.

The ideal candidate will have experience in construction and equipment management, preferably in a research or industrial environment. You will also be responsible for developing and implementing physical security, safety, and disaster recovery programs, procedures, and operations for the facility.

This position requires strong leadership skills, including experience in one or more skilled trades, such as heating and air-conditioning systems, mechanical, and electrical systems in a research or industrial environment. Previous supervisory experience in the area of facilities management and construction processes is desired.
