Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Art Therapist to join our team at SESI Schools. As an Art Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing expressive therapy services to our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Observe, assess, and place students in appropriate expressive therapy services.
  • Provide individual, dyad, and group art therapy sessions.
  • Develop and implement expressive therapy treatment plans in collaboration with the treatment team.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary treatment planning and provide in-service training to team members as needed.
  • Document student progress and maintain accurate records.
  • Participate in supervision and maintain licensure according to state and federal regulations.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Art Therapy from an AATA accredited/approved program.
  • License or license eligible: ATR-Provisional License, Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in the state of Illinois.
  • Art Therapy Registration (ATR).
  • Strong art-based assessment skills, including the Expressive Therapy Continuum.
  • Ability to work independently at multiple sites within the agency.
  • Effective communication skills with professionals, students, and families.
