Stanford Health Care is seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our team in Medical Oncology/Hematology. As a key member of our cancer care team, you will provide high-quality patient care, work independently, and collaborate with experienced physicians to manage a complex patient population.
Key Responsibilities- Provide routine care and management of patients with acute and chronic complaints, in collaboration with supervising physicians.
- Order and collect specimens for laboratory tests, screening procedures, and therapeutic procedures.
- Administer, order, furnish, and prescribe medications, as indicated.
- Perform designated procedures after demonstrated competency.
- Initiate arrangements for hospital admissions and discharges, and complete necessary paperwork.
- Enroll patients in investigational studies, as directed by supervising physicians.
- Assist supervising physicians in the operating room, as needed.
- Master's or Doctoral degree in nursing from an accredited college or university.
- Graduate of an NP program accredited by the National League of Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC) or the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).
- Nursing licensure and certification as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) and Furnishing Number (NPF).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
