Key ResponsibilitiesAs the Lead Respiratory Therapy Coordinator, you will oversee the daily clinical operations of the department. Your responsibilities will include:
- Administering Oxygen and Aerosol Therapy using various devices on a daily basis.
- Providing Airway Pressure Therapy on a scheduled basis.
- Instructing patients and setting up Incentive Breathing Devices regularly.
- Performing Chest Percussion and Postural Drainage techniques as needed.
- Documenting all patient interactions and completing necessary records in the electronic health system promptly.
- Creating and managing departmental work schedules to ensure adequate coverage.
Experience:
- A minimum of five years of clinical experience in an acute care environment.
Education:
- Associate Degree from an accredited Respiratory Care Program or equivalent.
Licenses and Certifications:
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC).
- Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license from the Texas Medical Board.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification in accordance with healthcare policies.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required within 90 days of employment.
