Job Summary

Establishes design criteria for electrical systems and reviews plans and specifications to ensure cost-efficiency, effectiveness, and best practices. Provides electrical design and/or project management for assigned projects. Ensures contractor and trade compliance with all project details. Ascertains fiscal electrical system requirements and facilitates budgetary matters.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct field surveys, perform electrical calculations, prepare cost estimates, and prepare construction documents.
  • Manages engineering projects and therefore must be able to follow through on all aspects of the job, including mobility to inspect projects and attend meetings.
  • Must be capable of performing field work throughout the campus. This entails mobility to reach work areas as well as accessing roofs, equipment platforms, manholes, etc. via ladders.
Requirements
  • Must have a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Must have at least 3 years of experience in electrical engineering or a related field.
  • Must be able to work Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
