Job Description

Delaco Steel Corp is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Custodian/Janitor 2nd Shift to join our team. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitized, and tidy office and plant environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain Cleaning Schedule: Ensure that all areas of the office and plant are cleaned and sanitized according to a predetermined schedule.
  • Trash and Recycling Management: Empty and clean trash receptacles, collect recycling, and ensure that all areas are free from litter and debris.
  • Bathroom and Break Room Maintenance: Clean, sanitize, and restock supplies in the bathrooms and employee break rooms.
  • Window Cleaning: Clean windows inside the offices to ensure a clear view and a clean appearance.
  • Grounds Maintenance: Maintain the grounds area by picking up trash and cigarette butts, and ensuring that the area is clean and orderly.
  • Supply Management: Assist with the organization and disbursement of office supplies and deliveries as needed.
  • Safety and Sanitation: Report any safety, sanitary, or fire hazards to the appropriate department, and ensure that all areas are safe and clean.
Requirements:
  • Qualifications: Must be able to work all shifts, safely operate a power scrubber, and effectively handle multiple tasks at one time.
  • Physical Demands: The employee must be able to stand, walk, and have a full range of motion, lift and carry up to 50 pounds, and have specific vision abilities.
  • Education and Experience: High school diploma or GED required, previous custodial experience preferred, and previous experience in the manufacturing industry is helpful.
