About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to join the team at Raytheon Technologies as a Furnace Technician, where you will play a critical role in the coating and cleaning process of parts. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for operating atmosphere, vacuum, and Hydrogen Fluoride Ion (HF) furnaces to ensure high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate Furnaces with Precision: You will be responsible for operating furnaces to coat, clean, and heat treat parts according to written instructions.
  • Mix Coating Powders: You will mix coating powders as required per Process Management Specification (PMS) specifications.
  • Pack and Unpack Coated Parts: You will pack and unpack coated parts with care to ensure they are ready for the next stage of production.
  • Monitor Operating Parameters: You will program controls and monitor operating parameters for furnace runs to ensure optimal results.
  • Log Data and Maintain Records: You will make routine entries on charts and routing travelers and log data into the Reliability and Maintainability (RFMS) system, including traceability records.
  • Perform Preventative Maintenance: You will perform preventative and minor maintenance as required to ensure the furnaces are in good working condition.
  • Comply with Documentation: You will comply with all documentation, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), PMSs, and routers.
  • Other Duties as Required: You may be required to perform other duties as required to support company objectives.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent: You must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • U.S. Person: You must be a U.S. person, which includes U.S. citizens, permanent residents, or granted refugee or asylee status.
  • Operator Training: You must complete on-the-job operator training.
  • Furnace Operator Test: You must take and pass the Furnace Operator Test with a score of 75% or higher.
