About the Role

UNM Medical Group, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Radiology Tech CT Simulator to join our team at the UNM Comprehensive Cancer Center. This is a Monday through Friday position with schedules from 6:00am-3pm, 7:00am-4:00pm or 8:00am-5:00pm located in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The selected individual will be required to attend a Radiation Therapy school, which is approximately a one year program, with tuition paid by UNMCCC in exchange for a three-year contract to work as a Radiation Therapist after passing the board exam.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies, promoting continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
  • Maintain stock supplies and assist administrators in determining quantities for purchase, performing general office duties such as delivering and retrieving film, recording procedure codes for billing purposes, typing forms, and scheduling patients.
  • Prepare patients for radiographic, ultrasound, or CT Scan procedures as appropriate to requirements, explaining procedures to patients and positioning them as necessary.
  • Follow prescribed procedures in the administration of radiography, ultrasound, or CT scans, determining appropriate calibrations and/or techniques, arranging immobilization and/or support devices.
  • Prepare written status reports and maintain records of work performed.
  • Prepare facilities in accordance with procedural requirements, calibrate equipment, and prepare medicine and materials as required, cleaning and disinfecting equipment in accordance with sterile procedures and standards.
Requirements
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) Certification.
  • State of NM RRT License.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
  • No experience required, but completed degree from an accredited institution may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
