Job Overview

Position Summary: The role involves the installation, adjustment, wiring, and repair of various equipment while adhering to the latest NEC and local code standards. All tasks performed must comply with current NEC regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot and repair AC/DC motor controls, including the termination of motors and associated devices such as sensors and variable frequency drives (VFDs).
  • Possess a comprehensive understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, distribution control, fluidic, and electrical systems and their operations.
  • Conduct maintenance activities, which include the repair or replacement of defective components, assembly, installation, adjustments, and evaluations.
  • Implement preventative maintenance procedures on a variety of manufacturing machinery.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of work completed, including repair details and material usage through a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Perform overhauls on equipment, which may involve rebuilding and fabrication as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Availability to work Sunday through Thursday from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting and repairing both electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic blueprints, schematics, and engineering documents.
  • Exhibit manual dexterity, with the capability to frequently squat, bend, climb, and lift up to 50 lbs.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Experience in mechanical fabrication and welding is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated reliability and initiative in work performance.
  • Prior experience in a food processing environment, with knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Safe Quality Food (SQF) standards is a plus.
  • Familiarity with high-speed packaging equipment is beneficial.
