Must-Have:
  • Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program
  • Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures
  • Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to respond effectively to cultural and language needs of patients and visitors
  • Some computer skills
Job Responsibilities:
  • Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients
  • Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments; note all changes in physician orders
  • Assist physicians in the examination of patients and in performing minor diagnostic procedures and treatments
  • Obtain and monitor physiological data of patients, observe physiological manifestations, and intervene when necessary
  • Administer medication as prescribed and manage intravenous infusions and blood products
  • Deliver patient care competently
  • Interact with family and patients to share care plans during the hospital stay and at discharge
  • Inform patients and families of hospital procedures
  • Make referrals regarding patient care needs to appropriate personnel
  • Delegate tasks to support staff
  • Perform other duties as assigned
