Job Description:

The Technical Services Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the biomedical and field service technicians assigned to a designated location. This role ensures that medical equipment at the office and customer locations is timely and cost-effectively inspected, repaired, and maintained.

The Technical Services Coordinator is also responsible for ensuring accurate and detailed equipment records are kept, assisting in growing technical services revenue, and supporting key daily office functions.

This role requires a strong understanding of the healthcare industry, including hospital operations, alternate care providers, and medical equipment manufacturers. The ideal candidate will have experience with medical equipment preventive maintenance, repair, and handling, as well as proficiency in the use of test equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and coordinate biomedical and field service technicians
  • Ensure timely and cost-effective inspection, repair, and maintenance of medical equipment
  • Keep accurate and detailed equipment records
  • Assist in growing technical services revenue
  • Support key daily office functions
  • Manage requisitions, parts, and supply inventory and purchase orders
  • Complete required documentation, reports, and updates to support business
  • Provide focus and help establish priorities for technical team
  • Ensure equipment incidents, recalls, upgrades, and modifications are completed in compliance with directives and documented accordingly
  • Coordinate and train technical services technicians
Requirements:
  • Associate's degree in an Applied Science (electronics or biomedical equipment technology preferred) or equivalent military training required; Bachelor's degree preferred
  • At least 1 year of technical experience
  • Knowledge of the healthcare industry, including hospital operations, alternate care providers, and medical equipment manufacturers
  • Medical equipment preventive maintenance, repair, and handling experience
  • Proficient in the use of test equipment
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Willing to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as well as emergency off-hours as required
  • Valid driver's license
  • Able to lift and/or push 75 pounds
